Regulatory Reporting Specialist

University degree in Business major Finance, or Banking or Risk Management or Maths or IT or Sciences or law from reputed universities.

5-7 years experience in “Regulatory Reporting” within investment banks and financial institutions in Lebanon or globally as Regulatory Reporting Specialist or related compliance and risk management roles in trading and brokerage field.

An understanding of financial markets and various financial products and instruments. An understanding of the current European Regulatory Reporting environment with the knowledge of MIFID, EMIR, SFTR, CySEC reports. Preferably with CySEC or other equivalent regulator accreditations.

Assist with the Quarterly / Monthly / Daily submission of various Regulatory Reports

Assist with any Regulatory Reporting enquiries received from the National Competent Authority, senior management, counterparties or clients

Involvement in Regulatory Reporting Systems’ improvements / proactivity for automation and process efficiency

Data quality/correctness checks on big data volumes (reviews under the European Reporting Regulations and Guidelines to ensure the Company’s reports are compliant)

Daily monitoring of Regulatory Reporting reconciliations

Daily instrument MIFID eligibility check

Excellent command of written and spoken English language. Additional languages such as Greek or Russian are an advantage but not a prerequisite.

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Hard worker, with an eye for detail and who values teamwork.

Additional IT background or skills may be considered as a significant plus which may include:

Knowledge of SQL and experience of working with any of relational databases: MS SQL, Oracle

Any Business Intelligence tool experience including big data analysis

Understanding of principles in software architecture development

Knowledge of FIX, XML, FPML languages

Basic programing skills using VBA macros, Python, any language

Understanding of IT terms to be able to interact with IT department for regulatory reporting systems enhancements.
