National Sales Manager

Male candidate. Age ideally between 35-45 years old.

Bachelor or Master University degree in Business Administration; major Sales, Marketing or Distribution, from well-reputed universities

Min. 10 years of sales experience in the FMCG sector, with at least 5 years as Sales Manager, National Sales Manager or Commercial Manager or related within well-established preferably large local, regional or multinational FMCG distribution companies in any Large country in the African continent.

Strong exposure to sales strategies and planning

Strong team management experience

Will be based in Lagos and covering all Nigeria

Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-the-area and overnight travel may be expected.

Develop and implement effective sales strategies

Lead nationwide sales team members to achieve sales targets

Establish productive and professional relationships with key personnel in assigned customer accounts

Negotiate and close agreements with large customers and key accounts

Manage and oversee the daily operations of the sales department

Monitor and analyze performance metrics and suggest improvements

Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual sales forecasts and annual sales budget

Perform research and identify new potential customers and new market opportunities

Provide timely and effective solutions aligned with clients’ needs

Liaise with Marketing and Product Development departments to ensure brand consistency

Keep abreast of new product launches and ensure sales team members are on board

Mature, patient and hardworking individual. Good leaderships skills. Business Acumen.

Flexible, capable to adapt to a new culture and environment

Customer/Client Focus. Strong analytical skills and data-driven thinking. Good communication, presentation and interpersonal skills.

Bilingual: Arabic/English. Computer literate
