Managing Director

University degree in Business Administration or other from well-reputed universities. Master's degree is a major plus.

Bachelor's Degree or Masters or Certificate or Diploma in Transportation, Logistics, Supply Chain Management or a related field is a major plus.

Having around 15-20 years of professional experience with a minimum of 10 years in a leadership role in a regional company in the field of Supply Chain or Freight Forwarding, or Logistics or Air/Sea/Land Transportation, in Lebanon or in the GCC or MENA region as Managing Director or General Manager or Regional Manager or Area Manager or Senior Executive.

Strategic level knowledge of Supply Chain (Demand Planning, Forecasting, replenishment, S&OP) Planning.

Strategic level knowledge of Logistics, Warehousing and Distribution strategies.

Experienced in financial management (P&L's, Balance Sheets, forecasting and budgets).

Provide leadership to position the company at the forefront of the industry.

Develop a strategic plan to advance the company's mission and objectives and to promote revenue, profitability and growth.

Oversee company operations to insure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.  Responsible for a wide variety of activities, including process improvements, tactical and strategic planning, quality management and forecasting, strategy development for supply chain integrations, developing and using information systems to track and improve performance. 

Accountable for providing leadership and direction for multiple Country Managers in stand-alone sites in a region including oversight of staff development, sales and site operations (logistics, supply chain and warehouse business) to ensure growth and profitability goals and objectives are met.

Responsible for business development, sales and marketing and new account development to ensure that maximum revenue is generated in the region. Present company reports at Regional Board meetings.

Work requires willingness to work a flexible schedule and travel up to 50%.

Ability to motivate teams and simultaneously manage several projects.

Ability to communicate and interact effectively with people from multi-functional and diverse backgrounds.

Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.

Excellent planning, time management, collaboration, decision making, organization, presentation and negotiating skills.

Knowledgeable of global markets, vertical markets and reverse logistics services.

Proficient in project management methodologies with a focus on managing solution driven strategy plans to achieve goals.

Professional written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills.

An understanding of LEAN techniques and methodologies.
