Hospital Director

Age bracket: ideally 45–50 years old. University graduate; preferably in Public Health or Business Administration from a reputable ideally American University in Lebanon or abroad.

A Masters, or MBA or Post-graduate degree in Hospitals Management or Public Health or related is a major asset

Not less than 7-10 years of overall hospital operations and management experience in the healthcare sector in Lebanon or in the region with a minimum of 5 years in a senior managerial and leadership role such as Operations Director or COO or General Manager or Deputy GM or Managing Director (MD) or Deputy MD or Executive Director within well-established small to medium-sized hospitals, polyclinics or medical centers in Lebanon or the region.

Proven successful work experience and track record in healthcare,

a deep exposure to the Lebanese Hospitals intricacies and Lebanese medical sector in general, as well as TPI relations and related authorities is required

His or her main responsibilities are to succeed the set-up, pre, post opening and management of a newly established specialized hospital; ensuring smooth opening within pre-set deadlines; recruiting the best qualified staff, both medical and administrative; in addition to providing best medical service to the patients and community. He/she should also plan for short, medium and long-range objectives for the hospital to ensure continuous development and growth.

Deep understanding of all hospital management tasks. Solid understanding of hospital industry and healthcare procedures and regulations. Excellent organizational and time management skills to supervise employees and ensure compliance with policies and regulations.

Must have basic financial skills to direct the daily operations, review financial reports and determine corrective actions as necessary.

Ability to supervise and train team members. Problem-solving attitude. Demonstrated ability to work cooperatively with others. Demonstrated ability to successfully work with physicians and office personnel. Self-directed, organized, and highly motivated individual who has the ability to work efficiently, manage multiple priorities and accomplish tasks within identified timeframes with minimum supervision.
