Head of Research & Development

B.S in Food Science, Food Technology, or Food Chemistry or any related field. A Master’s degree in Food Science, Food Technology or Food Chemistry or any related field is a must.
Minimum 20 years of overall experience from which 10 years of managerial experience in Food Production Research & Development and Quality Assurance with leading regional or international Food production companies.
Proven track record in product development, food production processes and quality standards aligned with both Food and the Company requirements
Good exposure to:

  • International quality standards (such as ISO 22000, FSSC 22000, BRC, IFS)
  • Export documentation, labeling requirements, and traceability rules
  • Navigating different regulatory frameworks (EU, GCC, North America, etc.

Fluent in Arabic & English. French is a plus.

 

The role’s objective is to maintain the company's position of standard premium quality products and abreast of product and production innovations aiming at securing a competitive edge.

This role is responsible for maintaining the company’s premium product positioning by driving innovation, overseeing R&D and quality assurance, and shaping product and portfolio strategy in collaboration with key stakeholders. It leads new product development, supplier quality selection, market research, and operational improvements to enhance productivity, profitability, and competitive advantage. The role also focuses on building and managing a high-performing team, ensuring strong governance, accurate reporting, and efficient internal processes.
