General Manager

Holder of a University degree; preferably in Business Administration.

Masters or MBA is a major plus.

Having not less than 15-20 years of total managerial experience in the FMCG sector in Lebanon and/or in the Gulf countries within a major FMCG multinational; of which at least 3-4 in a strategic leadership role such as General Manager or Managing Director.

 

Core competencies required: Corporate Strategy, Financial Metrics, Strategic Planning Process, Organisation building capability and development, Innovation, Coaching and Developing, Corporate Governance.

 

Good knowledge of the market in Lebanon and the GCC region specifically on consumers’ behavior.

 

Having managed a large multi-million $ operations with Profit & Loss responsibility.

Having managed ideally multi-country operations.

 

Will be responsible for developing and managing appropriate strategies, resources and activities to deliver company agreed planned objectives and specifically targeted profit, volume, share and brand equity, and ensure the local implementation of global strategy.

 

Strong leadership skills. Customer service oriented with high sensitivity to quality standards. Driven for excellence. Strong business acumen. Passionate about his work. Hands-on approach. Pleasant and flexible.

Able to adapt to a local company structure and culture.

People person. Willing to coach and develop young teams. Skilled communicator, problem solver and decision maker.

Fluency in English and Arabic; French is a plus.

Ability to travel to other markets when need be.
