Director of Finance, Grants and Contracts

University degree from well reputed universities. Master’s degree with relevant specialization in Finance, Accounting, or Auditing is a must.

Minimum 15 years of total experience, with 5-6 in financial management of grants and donations and ideally with around 4 years in a senior supervisory role within well-established Universities or Large NGOs in Lebanon managing international grants from a financial perspective, as Director of Finance & Grants & Contracts or related.

Financial Management of grants and donations is required as MUST.

The Director of Finance, Grants & Contracts is responsible for managing and controlling all the financial aspects of the Grants and efficiently managing the Grant Office personnel.

Will ensure that all grants financial activities are performed in full compliance with the institution’s policies and procedures as well as donors’ financial & administrative requirements; review grants, contracts, sponsored proposals and assists in budget preparation. Will ensure proper follow up on pending issues with other departments and external parties, and that subordinates are well aware of their duties & responsibilities vis a vis attendance, productivity and other pertinent issues.

Will set KPIs and monitors the performance of his/her subordinates.

Experienced in setting priorities and managing time effectively. Team leader and player; proven ability to successfully manage teams.

Strong knowledge of accounting standards and US or EU Grants Procedures.

Ability to use ERP systems. Advanced communication skills.

Good interpersonal and reporting skills. Bilingual: English and Arabic.

Strong computer skills in MS Office Suite and ideally Oracle E-business Suite.
