Arab speaker. Bachelor or Masters University degree in Business Administration; major Sales, Marketing or Distribution, from well-reputed universities.
10-15 years of business development, sales and marketing experience in the Building Materials sector selling to the contracting sector in the UAE and opening new markets within the GCC area and bringing new agencies, with at least 3 years as Business Development Manager within well-established large local, regional or multinational building and/or construction material companies ideally based in the UAE covering the GCC area.
Proven successful record in closing new deals, growing sales substantially over the years and opening new markets in the GCC area.
Business Development experience and bringing new agencies are a must.
Should inevitably have a strong/deep knowledge, exposure and experience in the UAE and GCC markets dynamics especially in the Building material industry.
Strong direct sales and marketing experience in UAE and business development in the GCC markets dealing, and having a strong network of contacts with decision makers in the contracting sector such as: contractors, project management companies, architects and consultants with tangible transferable address book.
Based in Dubai and covering the GCC market (mainly UAE, Qatar and Oman).
Deal maker having strong capabilities to close deals. Driven for results. Able to bring a substantial growth to the business. Able to set short and long-term business plan to grow the business to optimal levels. Able to monitor the market movements especially at competition and new projects level. Capable to search and acquire new brands and agencies within the company’s line of business and with optimal commercial conditions. Will prepare the department’s short and long-term business plan covering sales strategies, objectives and expansion plans. Will establish sales objectives by forecasting and developing annual sales quotas for regions and territories; projecting expected sales volume and profit for existing and new products, grow and develop sales volume and selling price by keeping current with supply and demand, changing trends, economic indicators, and competitors.
Develop and expand a business network by maintaining and adding new prime suppliers and clients especially among developers, contractors and consultants.
Good leadership skills; capable to recruit adequate employees, train them and monitor their performance to achieve business plan and targets.
