Biomedical Engineering Manager

University degree in Biomedical engineering from good universities. Masters degree is a plus. Minimum 10 years experience in biomedical field in Lebanon or abroad within major hospitals or medical equipment agents as Biomedical Engineering Manager or Senior Biomedical Engineer or related. Good verbal and written English and Arabic skills. French is a plus.

Supervise biomedical technical team related to day-to-day technical operations and administrative aspects. Implement an effective system for the acquisition of equipment.

Prepare the required technical specifications and evaluate bids accordingly. Receive equipment according to the protocol and to the contract. Prepare the site for new equipment installation; supervise the installation according to the protocol. Establish a preventive maintenance schedule and calibration according to the manufacturer's recommendations and safety standards. Plan and supervise daily visits to preventive and corrective maintenance technicians of the hospital according to the schedule established and priority levels.

Monitor and supervise visits preventive and corrective maintenance of suppliers, contract compliance and regularity (number of visits, availability, and quality of work...). Order spare parts and equipment necessary maintenance.

Monitor corrective maintenance; respond to emergency calls; or notify the local supplier and follow-up action to the total repair. Participate in the negotiation of service contracts / maintenance.

Develop a program of staff training on how to use, prevention and daily maintenance. Classify training certificates and follow-up mandatory training for survival equipment.

Organize filing and document for inventory of all medical equipment in hospital, to create a database of equipment and update. Put an identification label on each device. (Serial number, physical location, preventive maintenance of equipment and date of last and next service).Manage records of equipment (equipment history), "service report" providers and technicians, planning and statistics, cost of repairs and value of a new service contract and budget of spare parts.

Write and implement procedures and instructions relating to the discipline "Biomedical Engineering", implement the protocols established by the hospital.

Act as secretary of the radiation. Demonstrate and evaluate the new equipment. Ensure that the biomedical equipment complies with applicable regulatory requirements. Assist staff in operation of equipment. Investigate safety-related incidents.

Good technical skills and hospital equipment knowledge. Good working knowledge of procurement procedures and contracts. Good organization skills. Ability to work with and manage a team. Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.

Reports directly to the CEO.

Manages the biomedical technical team consisting of 3 technicians.
