Associate Director

B.A in Business Administration or Economics or equivalent ideally with an emphasis in Finance or Accounting from reputable universities in Lebanon or abroad. MBA or Masters in finance or CFA or CMA or CPA are a major plus.

Around 12 to 15 years of experience ideally in, Investment Banking or Private Equity firms in Lebanon or MENA. Auditing (Big 4) is a plus.

Good exposure to deal structuring, ideally international taxation, corporate financial law & risk management and financial planning practices

Familiarity with IFRS and/or US GAPP.

Excellent knowledge of data analysis and forecasting methods.

Fluent in English; French and Arabic are a plus.

Proficient use of MS Office namely Excel and PowerPoint

The Associate Director will be responsible of finance and finance-related activities of the firm’s portfolio companies including structuring, financing, as well as fiscal and statutory matters. The responsibilities are summarized below:

Tax & Structuring

Set up of legal structure and implementation of portfolio companies

Ensure proper corporate governance infrastructure, boards modus operandi and follow-up on corporate resolutions within the portfolio companies

Portfolio Financial Management and distributions: Compile, analyze data and develop relevant reports in order to provide management with the necessary assistance regarding financial information and requests.

Portfolio company’s Ongoing Operations follow-up

Financial Accounts, tax and filings for all the portfolio companies

Auditing of Portfolio companies

Prepare and comment legal agreements including Finder agreements and services providers

Provide support to the Group through the oversight of bookkeeping, banking, compliance and reporting services in connection with the international real estate projects portfolio.

Manage relationship with banks, auditors, CPAs, tax and statutory representatives.

Work closely with the compliance officer to ensure compliance with the law and the company’s policies

Coordinate with auditors and CPA firms on all returns to regulatory bodies while ensuring compliance with legal procedures, schedules and filings.

Ability to strategize and solve problems. Team leader and player. Strong organizational skills. Excellent communication and people skills. An analytical mind, comfortable with numbers. Able to deal with VIPs and High Net worth individuals. Able to cope with stress and work pressure.
